• Extreme compressor.
• Very high ratio.
• Fast attack and release.

Uses

Almost always used as the last item on the chain and on the whole track.

• Allow the mix to sound loud by massively compressing the transients.
• Control extreme transients.

Brick Wall Limiter

An extreme form of limiter that will not allow the signal to pass the selected ceiling (there is no allowance for attack and release).

Maximizer

A maximizer is just a limiter with additional gain applied to bring the signal back up after compression is applied.
