Ring Modulation
Ring modulation involves the multiplication of a carrier by a second wave. Usually the carrier is a sine and the second wave is a simple waveform (complex waveforms are very unpredictable).
Effects
- Subtly changing the pitch of the carrier causes a powerful modulation similar to LFO, the speed of which changes with the pitch, so the mod envelope not only modulates the pitch but also the wah-wah.
