Mic Placement
More distance means more stereo width.
- Sound-hole (4 inches away) - very boomy and heavy.
- Fret 12th (4 inches away) - very thin - good for texture.
- Sound-hole (1 ft away and angled at 12th Fret) - good balance. Good for strumming sounds.
- Sound-hole (1 ft away and angled towards bridge) - more emphasis on plucky and picking.
- Back of the guitar (1 ft away and angled towards soundhole) - less string sound
